Ministry for Generations

Ministry for Generations

The Children’s Ministry’s name and logo represent the Bible’s call to equip parents, evangelize children, and to disciple even the youngest of God’s people.

At FBCE, we want all of the children’s programs to reflect the words of Psalm 78:4, “We will not hide them from their children,/ but tell to the coming generation/ the glorious deeds of the Lord, and his might,/ and the wonders that he has done.” We want every child who comes to FBCE to hear the gospel whether they are a pre-schooler, a grade-schooler, or a middle-schooler. We hope to reach this upcoming generation of children so that they in turn can reach the next generation of “children yet unborn” (78:4), who will reach the next generation, who will reach the next generation…creating a ministry that lasts for generations.  At FBCE, we strive to be a “Ministry for Generations!”

Weekly Children’s Activities

The Dig -  Running from 10-11 am, Sunday School is for all children birth-6th grade.  We are currently working through chronologically through the Bible, looking at how all of scripture shows God’s redemptive purpose through the Salvation of Jesus Christ.

The Quest - Wednesday night program for elementary age kids that involves music, games, Bible memory verses, small groups and lots of fun!

Bible Drill – continues to be an important activity in the Children’s Ministry of First Baptist, hiding the Word of God in the hearts of children that they may not sin against God (Psalm 119:11).

What To Expect When You Arrive

All children’s activities are held in the Children’s Ministry Center (CMC) located on  the FBCE’ campus.

When you enter the CMC, Come to the Welcome Desk. A friendly volunteer will greet you and ask you for your name,  your phone number, and your child’s name. FBCE will use this information to create a name badge for your child, containing your name, your child’s name, a security code,  and the room number for your child’s class. We ask that your child will wear one name tag and that you keep one.  We will then escort you and your child to his/her classroom. When the children’s event is over, please go to the room number shown on the name badge. Show the name tag to your child’s teacher. The teacher will verify that the name tag you have matches the name tag your child is wearing, and then will release the child into your custody.

To ensure the safety of your children, FBCE outfitted the CMC with a video surveillance system that monitors activities 24hrs a day, seven days a Week.
